This sturdy and hardwearing denim comes to us from The New Denim Project, a third-generation textile mill in Guatemala that focuses on natural fibres and circular manufacturing. This fabric is made entirely from recycled garment industry waste. These fibers are spun and rewoven into a durable, upcycled and 100% biodegradable textile that is both chemical and dye free, minimizing water and energy consumption. Midweight with a structured drape, this fabric feels soft straight off the bolt making it the perfect choice for beginner sewists new to jeans making. Ideal for chore coats, overalls, jumpsuits and all sorts of workwear inspired garments.

Due to the nature of the upcycling process, there may be irregularities throughout the yardage. We encourage you to embrace these slubs and nubbly textures as they are a natural result of recycling (and reducing!) cotton waste.
