From Sew Love Patterns:

The Whitcomb Top is a beginner-friendly make that can be sewn in either woven or knit fabric, as well as a combination of the two. Each fabric version has two sleeve options - a ¾ length sleeve and a short sleeve. It also has two length options - a cropped hem that sits at the waist, gathering into either elastic or a waistband, and a loose hem that finishes at the hip. All versions have a little bit of gathering at the front of the neck. The top can be worn as a t-shirt, sweatshirt or blouse. Dressed up or down, whichever way you want! The cropped versions are perfect with high-waisted trousers and the sleeves can be worn in a variety of different ways.

Recommended fabrics: The woven versions of the top work well with light or medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, viscose, cupro, crepe and rayon. The knit version of the top works well with t-shirt fabrics, stretch linen and stretch viscose, as well as lighter weight sweatshirt fabrics. To make the woven/knit mix version, use woven fabrics for the bodice, sleeve and neck facing, and knit fabrics for the cuffs and waistband.
