HELLO :)Hello, my name is Fleur and welcome to Motif Studio :)
I started Motif in 2022 to share my love of sewing and designing patterns. I hope sewing these patterns bring joy, some downtime and something you love and are proud to use at the end <3
Sewing is such a meditative skill, you really have to focus and it never seems to work if you are in a bad mood or stressed. Sewing can be so calming and has personally been so therapeutic during challenging times.
I have been sewing since I was taught by my grandmother when I was young, studied Textiles all throughout school and went on to study Textile Design at University where I received my BA from Central Saint Martins. After graduating I worked in different areas of the Interiors industry for many years which helped me develop my design skills and whilst living in Melbourne I studied pattern making at the RMIT. I have been making my own bags ever since I learned to sew at a young age and love that I can share this passion with you.
