About

Vancouver quilter Krista Hennebury, aka. Poppyprint, is known in the quilting community as a teacher, designer, retreat host and improv quilting enthusiast. Author of popular pattern book, "Make It, Take It", her blog Poppyprint Creates is a go-to place for tips and tutorials, as well as many photo journals from her trips to teach quilting classes in remote places like Alaska (Part 1 & 2), Inuvik (in the Canadian Arctic!), and Sweden (Part 1 & 2). Her enthusiasm for quilting is contagious!  Krista believes in supporting people who have a desire to connect and create with others at classes, sew-ins and retreats. She has operated her popular day-retreat business near Vancouver for 10 years and also enjoys retreating with small groups of friends a few times per year, in addition to her annual 5-day retreat for 28 women every November.

Watch for her upcoming e-book The Retreat Manual launching in early 2016.
