The collection features darker colors than you may find from quilting companies. We find darker colors are easier to wear compared to bright, bright crazy colors. Even though the collection features a heavy dose of black, navy, plum, and teal, we break it up with colorful pops placed in just the right spots. Miramar’s palette integrates some eye-catching colors like coral and chartreuse with darker hues. Think of flowers at sunset or a cheerful lounge chair casting shadows on concrete. Miramar makes us think of old Florida at dusk.
In addition to some beautiful florals, we also have an urban take on classic stripes, polka dots with a surprising twist, an abstract splatter, and some fun novelty prints in the collection. It’s everything I hoped it’d be! Miramar is trend-based but still classic. Sophisticated but still fun. Conversational and not cutesy. In short, the Miramar collection is composed of prints for grown-ups, designed exclusively with fashion sewing in mind.
All of our designs were hand-painted by Whitney and have a unique, organic quality about them.
