Sewing! Yay!
I started this stitching thing with tube dresses for my barbies as a 5 year old, with spandex scraps leftover from my mom's dance costume business. I advanced through the ranks of pillows, shoddy bags, basic skirts, and now I mostly love sewing dresses. I appreciate both woven and knits, and espcially admire vintage patterns and fabric, making an important point to hoard alllll the old things. I use Google Translate to read my favorite German sewing mags, which is totally inaccurate and really weird/funny sometimes.
I hate mending/repairs-- please never, ever, ever, ever ask me to hem your pants or repair your zipper.
