This was an experiment. I tried to make a blanket that would allow for a person who runs warm (me) and a person who runs cold (my boyfriend) both to have their needs met. I had leftover fabric after making the music fabric PJ pants, but only enough for a panel. So, I got solid black fleece to go with it and used the sectional nature of it to my advantage. The sections are not fully sewn together. Rather, I made "buttons" using felt (so that a hard plastic or wooden button wouldn't be felt or rolled over onto) to temporarily hold them together with the possibility of easy separation if one wanted to, for example, stick one's feet out. Additionally, for someone who might want extra coverage for his feet, there's a sort of pocket at the bottom for feet. Finally, I eeked out just a little bit more of the music fabric (combined with solid black cotton for the backs) to make matching pillow cases.
