If you have experienced beginner sewing skills, you can make fun new creations out of standard men's collared shirts.

This tutorial is a step-by-step set of instructions with photos and diagrams for making a Baby Doll Dress, Crop Top, Tunic, or Shirt Extender with an optional tie and/or fabric belt. You can make yours with straight or puff sleeves. The length is your choice, too. Go short with a cropped hemline, or go comfortable with a long tunic hemline. Start with any collared shirt that fits you.

This loose-fitting top and dress is a pullover, so the buttons are decorative and not needed for function. You can replace the buttons on your upcycled shirt with new or vintage buttons for fun. Personalize your new dress with lace or patchwork or embroidery.
