The Campsie Top is a simple, relaxed woven top. It features a jewel neckline, set in sleeve, button and loop closure at the back of the neck, and a neck facing for a clean finish. It is a great beginner project designed to teach you a variety of sewing skills. The top features different cup sizes and bicep widths to ensure a perfect fit for your body. Sew it up in linen to elevate a casual look or in silk for a luxe addition to your work wardrobe.
Fit Intent: This pattern is designed to be loose fitting and features elements specifically designed for plus size bodies.
• The shoulder seam should hit about 1/2” (1.3cm) outside of the acromion (point of the shoulder) to allow for better sleeve hang.
• The dart apexes are placed further away from the bust point than in straight sizes.Suggested Fabrics: This pattern is designed to be sewn with woven fabrics without stretch and is designed for use with a wide variety of light-medium weight woven fabrics. We suggest light-medium weight linen, cotton lawn, silk noil, silk satin, crepe, crepe de chine, tencel, cupro, viscose/viscose blends, or rayon challis. As with most garment sewing, we do not recommend the use of quilting cotton
