From VanessaHansenStudio:

I created the Carrie Skirt pattern after seeing Sarah Jessica Parker in a promo shoot wearing a super high-waisted skirt with a panelled yoke and a gathered skirt. I fell in love with the V-shaped front and the deep hem. The skirt comes in two waist fittings, Version A with a super high waist and optional loops and lacing in the back and Version B which finishes at the natural waist.

Style: The Carrie skirt features a fitted top and a voluminous bottom. The skirt is cut completely straight at the hem, so hemming is a breeze. Depending on the fabric, it can be a high-end statement piece and go with strappy sandals and a silk blouse, a cottage core romantic skirt - or why not make a witchy style autumn skirt? My personal favourite way to make it is with heavy contrast topstitching thread on all the panelled seams and then style it with chunky boots.

Recommended Fabrics: This pattern is drafted for medium weight woven fabrics such as different kinds of cotton, viscose and viscose blends (make sure it's not too slinky and light), lightweight linen and silk. Check out Instagram highlights to get inspired.

Sizes: UK 6-32 (fits waist: 59 cm - 132 cm / 23¼" - 52")
