Cute little smock dress with short-sleeves and a gathered skirt. Make it out of a light cotton or viscose for a perfect summer dress, or in winter choose a heavier fabric like jersey and team it up with tights and boots.

The Charlie Dress works well with light to medium weight woven fabrics with a good drape. Try a light to
medium weight cotton or linen, rayon or viscose. I made mine out of an organza fabric which I love because I
wanted the dress to be sheer while maintaining a more structured shape. Organza is a good fabric for
beginners who want to try a sheer fabric because it doesn’t warp.
