Essentials Tote Bag sewing pattern PDF
A super helpful essential tote measuring approx 19" x 19" with huge see-through pockets on both sides that are deep and roomy to hold your most essential bits.
Inside features MORE see-through pockets on both sides, plus options to make heavy duty webbing straps OR fabric straps. Made with foam interfacing, this tote stands up on its own. I walk you through each step with digitally drawn diagrams, photos, and clearly written instructions.
There is a video walk-through link included for extra help if you need it.
I use these bags to carry my groceries every week. My daughter uses one for swimming, and one stays in my car at all times with emergency gear (clothing, snacks, jump cables, blanket...)
Quilting cotton, canvas, linen, duck cloth, or almost any woven fabric will work. Clear vinyl is here.
You'll need:
1 yard exterior fabric
1 yard lining fabric
1/2 yard clear 10 gauge vinyl for all pockets- (or 2 pieces 12" W x 10" H) for exterior pockets. You will need the full 1/2 yd if making the inside clear pockets.
2 packages double fold extra wide bias tape by Wright's
3 yds SF101
1 yard foam or fusible fleece or batting to interface exterior bag
3.5 yards webbing for straps (faster way) or make your own with fabric.
As always, you may sell your finished totes on a homemade scale.
