From The Pattern Line:

A statement piece, this Harrison dress has a dramatic hourglass shape, exaggerated sleeve accentuated with a pleat, high-low waist that sits above the natural waistline, round neck, covered 2-way zip fastening at the front, longer midi length, wide sleeve opening, and side slit pockets. The bodice of the pattern comes in two sleeve lengths: below the elbow and bracelet length for easier summer and winter versions adaptation. Featured construction techniques include French seams, flat fell seams, pockets set into flat fell seams, hidden front placket with 2-way zipper, and binding on sleeve hem and inner seams.

Samples shown range from medium weight dense linen blend in white, medium weight cotton twill in green, and medium weight wool cashmere blend in navy. Model is 5’6″ and falls between sizes 4 and 6, measuring 35″ Bust (34DD-32E)/27″ Waist/38″ Hip, wearing straight size 4 in white and navy, and straight size 10 in green.

Difficulty: This pattern is geared toward intermediate to experienced sewers, looking to build up their sewing skills. Think of it as a mini-course on various techniques, where I take you into my sewing atelier and show you the high-end finishes you can find in a luxury ready-to-wear garment.

Suggested fabrics: to maintain this design’s shape, choose light to medium weight woven fabrics with enough density to hold shape in cotton, linen, wool, and various blends.
