Made beginner-friendly, our Hooded Wrap Top Sewing Pattern is comfy, snazzy, and easy to make. Using only a serger guarantees a quick finish, and an asymmetric cut makes the top special.
This style is best made with light viscose jersey. You can also use cotton jersey, just make sure it is very light. The top has three layers on the front piece and two on the hood, so using thick materials won’t work.
The Hooded Wrap Top has a wrap-cut front over a base of see-through mesh. You can also use elastic lace fabric for the lowest layer of the front to give the top an even more feminine feel. The top also has a large hood, which can be worn over the head or down. Using two layers of material gives the hood a tidy finish inside and out.
