From DP Studio:

The pleated skirt is now a very trendy, key piece of the wardrobe that has become a must for many women. The added front yoke is highlighted by a band extending to the back of the skirt, lending an extra touch of modernity and separating the lower pleated section from the top non-pleated section. The yoke represents about 30% of the skirt’s length at the front and about 80ù at the back, making the skirt really interesting. The fairly deep pleats are formed symmetrically on either side of centre front. Fabrics with a high polyester content are preferable (50% minimum) for this type of skirt in order to keep the perfectly ironed pleats in place.
