The Pacifica tote is made using fabric that has been pre-quilted, either purchased or you can quilt your own panels. The edging is finished with binding, so no lining is needed for this bag, and it features a patch pocket edged with binding as well. My pattern features step by step photographs to help guide you through the process.

Instruction included in this pattern for three sizes: 9 x 10 1/2 inches, 18 x 20 inches, and a patchwork variation that is 12 1/2 x 16 inches. It would also be simple to adapt this to any size you like. It is a fun way to use practice pieces that you have free motion quilted and would be fun to make with orphan blocks as well! The boxed corners make it sturdy and are easy to make. It makes a terrific gift and is perfect to make as a bag to present a finished quilt!

You don't need to be an expert quilter to make the panels, you can easily quilt straight lines to complete them.

I've also included directions for adding a button loop closure or a zipper closure.
