BABYDOLL DRESS PATTERN
This time we introduce the lovely babydoll dress pattern Plum, a super wearable and comfy dress with drop shoulders, inseam pockets (obviously!) and a relaxed fit. The dress comes with two different skirt lengths, mini or midi, as well as 3/4 sleeves and cuffs or no sleeves and a cute ruffle, perfect for the Summer months. Apart from this, the back bodice features a button placket to be able to put the dress on and off easily, the skirt is gathered and the neckline is finished with bias tape (explained on a YouTube tutorial for the Plum Dress).
With lots of detailed instructions, technical drawings and tips to get the best results, Plum will become a staple in your wardrobe the whole year.

SUGGESTED FABRICS FOR OUR BABYDOLL DRESS PATTERN
Light to medium-weight woven fabrics with drape such as cotton, lawn, chambray, rayon, viscose, linen, double gauze, crepe, flannel, light denim, light needlecord or corduroy… When possible, we encourage the use of natural fibres.
FABRIC REQUIRED
Version A long sleeves and midi skirt – 115cm / 45’’ width: 2.55m / 2.8 yards
Version A long sleeves and midi skirt – 150cm / 60’’ width: 2.30m / 2.5 yards
Version B ruffle sleeves and mini skirt – 115cm / 45’’ width: 2.05m / 2.2 yards
Version B ruffle sleeves and mini skirt – 150cm / 60’’ width: 1.75m / 1.9 yards
TOOLS AND SUPPLIES
• Sewing machine & overlocker/serger (optional to finish seams).
• Matching thread.
• Interfacing for button placket: 50cm / around 20’’.
• Bias tape for neckline: 70cm / around 28’’ and a maximum width of 20mm when folded (which means you will have an extra 2cm to sew the tape).
• Buttons: 5/6. Width is optional. We suggest starting at 1.2mm.
• Others: tailor chalk or fabric pen, safety pin, scissors, pins, needle, tape measure…
DIFFICULTY
The babydoll dress pattern Plum is perfect for advanced beginners willing to learn some new techniques like applying bias tape to a neckline, creating gathers or sewing a button placket. If you are an intermediate or advanced sewist, the project will take you a day max.

*The babydoll dress pattern Plum is sold in a PDF format, so you will receive an email with a link to download the pattern and instructions. Then, you will find two printing options available: A4 and a copy shop version of the sewing pattern so that you can skip the assembling part. In addition, if you prefer US letter, there’s an option already included on the files.
