Mask size chart (Google sheet)
This mask can be made in varying sizes from 14 cm wide upwards . Choose the width of finished mask that you want and cut the back or lining fabric to this width. Cut the front fabric 6 cm wider. You should cut the height of the fabric approximately 2 cm larger than the width. However this can be varied if you are making a mask for someone with a particularly long thin face, for example, or for a beard.
Suitable fasteners include: elastic ear loops, T-shirt string, continuous elastic for behind the head, and fabric ties. Fasteners can be adjusted or replaced using the binding channels.
This is the community mask developed by Mask Makers UK, a support space for sewists to share ideas and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.
