The Saltbox Tee or Tank is inspired by a colonial home with an odd, asymmetrical roof line. If features a pieced bodice in front and back, a side vent at the hip, and a boat neck.
Great for a beginner, the Saltbox tee features short sleeves that are easy to set in due to having minimal sleeve cap ease and a slightly dropped shoulder.
The saltbox tank has a nicely cut armhole and small straps, finished with bias facing.
The cut of Saltbox is relaxed and as a result, this top only comes in 5 sizes. Take it in a bit here and there or wear it loose. Since it has no darts, instructions are given for a FBA (Full Bust Alteration) that adds darts to the top.
Saltbox is a great stashbuster! Requiring as little as 1/2 yard for one of the contrasting fabric choices, you can use up those precious small cuts you've been hanging onto.
