From Seamwork:

Another season of transitions is upon us. Luckily, springtime is a season where you can start shedding layers, and the three versions of the Sonya dress are perfect for helping you transition to a time of warmer weather, more sunshine, and less fabric usage. Sonya is a shift dress with multiple panels, sleeve and sleeve length options, and interchangeable pockets.

Spring is a time where you can also start to bring more pops of color to your wardrobe, so take advantage of the multiple pattern pieces to experiment with color blocking or directional stripes. Check out the May 2017 Seamwork articles Block, Paper, Scissors and Upgrade Your Sewing to add more customizations to your Sonya dress, such as using flat felled seams, adding a collar, and turning the shift into a trapeze-style dress.

A shift dress is a classic staple for any wardrobe. Sonya is a modified, modern take on the shift that will let you add a fun staple to your wardrobe.

Design number: 3056

Sonya appeared in the March, 2017 issue of Seamwork.
