Which flavor will you be baking today?

This tunic was inspired by a fluffy layered cake; the gently gathered ruffles give it a lot of volume.

With a loose fit and a sash to cinch the bodice in, this tunic was designed to be worn over a long-sleeved shirt for fall/winter.

However, it also looks great in the summer worn over shorts or leggings!

The bodice closes in the back with snaps or buttons and has a long sash that can be tied either in the back or in the front; giving it a completely different look, or more comfort for babies that still mostly lay on their backs.

A lightweight woven fabric with some drape and/or a nice flow to it is recommended for this pattern. Rayon, cotton blends, linen, (dupioni) silk, satin, voile, etcetera will look gorgeous for the main tunic!

For the sash and lining of the bodice, any woven fabric will work.

Mix and match types of fabric and prints; make it in one print all over, or use different prints for all the layers. You can never go wrong with ruffles!

This pattern carries sizes 3m - 14y.

This is a DIGITAL file that you print at home, not a finished item or a paper pattern. All seam allowances are already added. This pattern is for personal use only and may not be shared or forwarded with anyone else.
