Part of the Hawaiian Harps collection, this is an original appliqué block inspired by the kinnor and traditional Hawaiian quilting patterns. The kinnor, also known as the Harp of David, was an ancient Israelite lyre with 3-12 strings. These are surrounded by a border of flowers and palm leaves. For a simpler, smaller block, work only the center harp design without the outer border and quilt in echo lines. Adjust fabric sizes accordingly.
The pattern includes full-size eighth-fold templates for 14" and 18" blocks. Print actual size and cut on a folded square of fabric. Cutting and assembly instructions are included, but finishing instructions are not. The finished block may be used as part of a quilt, pillow, wall hanging, or any other project.

Note on fabrics: Solid, marbled, or batik work best. Busy patterns may obscure the design. 100% cotton is recommended.
