It's here! This pattern was originally intended for release in October, but life stuff and grading difficulties got in the way. However, I'm thrilled to introduce the Parkway Coat, a 1940s princess seamed, single-breasted overcoat. The large, rounded lapels are based on an original 1940s coat from my collection.

The tailored, two-piece sleeve features a darted shoulder for that square-shouldered 1940s silhouette - you can add shoulder pads for extra structure and drama (I decided I didn't need them in my version).

I’m especially pleased with the deep pockets at side front, which are large enough for all of modern life’s day-to-day essentials, but don’t distort the lines of the coat thanks to the in-panel construction.

The pattern is based on, and follows the lines of, the Fatale Dress, with the additional ease required for outerwear.
